What is a Korean lash lift and lamination?
A Korean lash lift curls and lifts your natural lashes from the root. Lamination then sets them in an upward shape and smooths them for a more defined, polished finish. Nothing is glued on, so there are no extensions to refill or remove. Korean lash lift, lash lift and lash lamination are different names for the same service, and at Atelier de Lashes we offer it as Lash Lift and Lamination.
A lash lift doesn't add new lashes or real length. It reshapes the lashes you already have, so your result depends on their length, growth pattern and condition.
Is a Korean lash lift right for you?
1. You prefer your own lashes
It works with your natural lashes and adds nothing to them.
2. You want a low-maintenance look
No refills and no daily curler. You can still wear mascara if you like.
3. Your lashes are straight or point downwards
Lifting shows off your lashes and opens up your eyes.
4. You don't need extra length or fullness
If you do, extensions are the better choice. Very short lashes can still be lifted, but the result depends on their length.
Korean lash lift or lash extensions?
Choose a Korean lash lift if you want a natural, low-maintenance look using only your own lashes.
Choose extensions if you want added length or fullness, or a specific style, and you're happy to book refills every 2–3 weeks.

What happens at your appointment?
Your eyes stay closed throughout. Your technician cleans your lashes, lifts and shapes them, then sets them in place. The appointment time depends on your lashes, and we confirm it when you book. Tell us about any allergies, eye irritation or past reactions to lash or eye-area products.
How long does a Korean lash lift last?
Usually about 4–8 weeks. Your lashes grow and shed naturally, so the curl fades gradually. How long it lasts depends on your growth cycle, the condition of your lashes and your aftercare.
Book again once your lashes have grown out and your technician confirms they're in good condition. Lifting too often can leave lashes dry or weak.
Is a Korean lash lift safe?
A professional lash lift suits many people, but it isn't risk-free. The products reshape your lashes, so incorrect application or contact with the eyes can cause irritation, an allergic reaction or lash damage.
●Choose a trained technician
●Tell us about allergies, eye irritation or past reactions
●Don't book if you have an eye infection or irritated eyes
●Ask about a patch test if you're concerned about allergies
If you have a history of eye problems or very sensitive skin around your eyes, get professional advice first.
How do I prepare and look after my lashes?
Before your appointment:
●Arrive with clean lashes, without mascara or eye makeup
●Avoid oily products around your eyes
●Ask your technician whether to remove contact lenses
After your appointment: your technician will explain aftercare, and it's best to follow their advice. As a general guide:
●Don't rub or pull your lashes
●Remove makeup gently around your eyes
●Avoid heavy, oil-based products on your lashes
●Don't lift or reshape your lashes at home
If you get lasting redness, pain, swelling or changes in your vision, seek medical help.

Frequently asked questions
Is a Korean lash lift the same as lash lamination?
Yes. They're different names for the same treatment, which we offer as Lash Lift and Lamination.
Does a Korean lash lift make my lashes longer?
No. It curls and lifts them, so they look longer, but it doesn't change their real length.
Is a lash lift better than eyelash extensions?
Neither is better for everyone. A lift enhances your natural lashes, while extensions add length and fullness.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
Yes, once your technician says it's fine. Many clients need much less of it.
Can a lash lift damage my lashes?
Incorrect application or lifting too often can weaken lashes. Careful application and enough time between treatments lower the risk.
